Amy Price - Makeup Artist

Life can be messy until you find the perfect makeup artist. - Amy Price

AMY & MAKEUP

Makeup isn't about hiding imperfections, but bringing out perfections. I love how makeup can be used to express yourself. It should always be fun and never stay the same, year after year. Makeups the 'ultimate accessory,' it will dress up any outfit. Photos last a life time, so look how you feel and remember that beautiful moment. There's no one in the world like you, so be seen!

Favourite Products? I don't like to favour any one particular brand. I like to research the best of each. For example, I love YSL lipstick (so creamy), Nars blush, they have high pigment, (what you see is what you get). For primers, I can't go past Napoleon & MAC.

Most flattering looks? Different looks suit different face and eye shapes. I find bringing out eye colour with complimentary tones or even a strong lip to be the head turners. I usually get the look for each client by matching their makeup to personality, what they're wearing and where they're going... and of course, always bringing out their features!

AMY'S BIO

Amy Price's makeup career began ten years ago when she was employed by Napoleon Perdis without experience.

"I've always had a natural flair and appreciation for the art, I just needed the right guidance."

After one year of employment Napoleon saw the potential in Amy and decided to enrol Amy in the Napoleon Perdis certificate course. Amy thrived in the course and finished with excellence.

Amy went on to work for Napoleon for a further 5 years. In this time she became a member of the QLD Events team. This position saw Amy working alongside Napoleon in various events, including; Sydney and Melbourne fashion week, personal appearances and personally assisting Napoleon in a master class.

Amy continually traveled QLD and Northern NSW teaching workshops and speaking in VIP demonstration nights.

After Amys time working for Napoleon Perdis Amy moved to London to further her career with Bobbi Brown in Oxford Street. This new role allowed Amy to show her skills on TV commercials and was also chosen to assist Bobbi Browns team at various in-store events and lessons.

Although accomplishing a lot in the years I've been a makeup artist, nothing compares to starting my own business! I'm so thrilled to be able to call this mine! I can't wait to see where this career takes me, but more so who I will meet along the way. I love making woman feel beautiful and being apart of their special day.

MEET THE TEAM

NATALIE EDWARDS

I believe makeup is all about self-expression and a celebration of individuality, from the minimal to the dark smouldering looks, makeup should merely be an extension of yourself!

I have always been mesmerised by art, creativity and all things makeup!  Five years ago I started my makeup journey beginning a course at Gold Coast Training Academy.  In pursuit of my makeup career, I then worked with Napoleon Perdis who provided continuous creative training and mentoring. Through this I developed a new world of knowledge, technique, professionalism and an eye for 'creating a look for the individual.'

Products I love working with are; M.A.C, Smashbox, Napoleon Perdis and kryolan eyeshadow for their high pigment of colour.  Airbrush foundation is a must for a flawless finish every time!  You can achieve a natural to high coverage and photographically it will stay true to colour - no pale faces here!  Choose a dewy finish for dry skin or a matte finish if you’re a little shiny.

I am so exited to be part of Amy Price's team, I couldn't ask for a better makeup mentor.  We love making people feel celebrated and I am looking forward to meeting you and helping you to plan and fulfil your dream look for your special occasion. I want to make your dream become a reality!

JORGEE JANE

I have always loved art, I guess you could say I was always 'the creative kid.' Painting and drawing were my two passions - not once did I realise my creativity would turn into such a strong love for the art of makeup.

I started my Cert II in makeup and styling at AICD when I was fourteen and completed the course in one year receiving a High Distinction.  Along with working for Amy, I'm currently studying a diploma in beauty therapy part time at AICD. Being a part of Amy's team has been a dream come true!  Not only am I in a team of amazingly talented people, but I am surrounded with what I love, makeup- I'll never see this as 'work'.

You could say I'm a shopaholic for all things makeup, my hobby in life is building one amazing kit!  Brands such as Nars, MAC and Mecca are my favourite to work with.  As an artist you never stop learning and creating, the high fashion and catwalk industry is what inspires me most and I thrive on a challenge.

So now you know a bit about me, I'm excited to meet you and be a part of your day. Let me make you feel a million dollars!
